Join industry colleagues on a choice of a two field trip to visit some of the most advanced landscape irrigation systems.

Rain Bird Field Trip | Kombumerri Park, Gold Coast

Facilitated by Tim Robertson from Rain Bird
Join our field trip for a visit to Kombumerri Park in the Gold Coast. We will be highlighting and demonstrating the Rain Bird 8005 Turf rotor and the IQ3 Central Control System. We will also take some time to demonstrate the NEW range of RVAN rotary nozzles for smaller radius applications.

The Rain Bird 8005 turf rotor is a product of choice, particularly when used with reclaimed and treated water. It’s a versatile and durable commercial rotor that stands the test of time. The Rain Bird IQ3 platform makes central control accessible and easy to use for councils, schools, nurseries and turf farms. The Rain Bird IQ3 system allows remote access and a high-level control with advanced features to ensure the Intelligent Use of Water.

This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to see some of the benchmark Rain Bird products in action and see what this can mean for you.

Canopy Wholesale Nursery, Gold Coast

Facilitated by Ryan at Canopy Nursery and Darren from Total Water Services.
Canopy Wholesale Nursery are the 2015 – 2016 Queensland nursery of the year, with a recent acquisition of a neighbouring property we have engaged Total water services and Lex McMullun and formerly Steve Hart to help us with our water efficiency.

Canopy Wholesale Nursery have doubled the size of their nursery from 2015, with a sales increase of 400% and a water usage of increase from 2015 levels of a modest 30%.

While Canopy Wholesale Nursery is a modest nursery, they employee the best and latest technology, constructing the systems with an end game in mind, but on a project by project basis proving that you can be water efficient on a budget as long as you plan correctly.

Westfield Coomera

Rain Bird Installation, Hosted by Scott Smythe, SS Irrigation

Westfield Coomera Field Trip

The scope and range of greenspace elements at Westfield Coomera Shopping Centre made this an exciting and challenging project for SS Irrigation to be a part of alongside CBD Landscape Construction.

Delegates will have an opportunity to see how the irrigation system was installed to accommodate a range of green space areas and elements across multiple levels including suspended pots, large format planter boxes at ground and upper levels, large turfed and planted greenspace areas and outdoor carparks.

We will demonstrate how the existing irrigation design was modified during construction to accommodate the clients request to irrigate suspended planter pots as well as extend turfed and planted areas beyond the original design scope. This was an exciting project for SS Irrigation to be a part of and we look forward to the opportunity to introduce it to you.
